The peace talks are a farce. They always are. It’s all part of a plan to make Israel look like the bad guy, all the while working to drive the Jewish people out of their land.

If you’re not diggin’ the video, you can read the story here.
What can I say here? I’m honestly baffled that we’re at a point where a person’s right to privacy is so limited. The government can now follow you around just to make sure you don’t violate any laws? Seriously?
Mexican Marines Find 72 Bodies in Northern Mexico
Reason? Drug demand in the U.S. I’m about as straight edged as a person can be, so legalization of any currently illegal drugs wouldn’t impact me, but I think legalization is a good idea just to end the slaughter going on south of the U.S. border.
Photo Bias Rampant in the Media

Colorado Tea Party on Facebook Seems to Want to Advance the “Birther Agenda.” Seriously?
It is my theory that the crazies from the two main political parties come out in full force when their party doesn’t hold the Presidency. As a result, I’ve kept a little distance between myself and any tea party groups/gatherings (I attended one on 4/15/09, but that’s it). I don’t think they’re gatherings of racists, though like any large gathering of any kind, there are probably some racists there. Mostly, I try to steer clear of kooks and conspiracy theorists.
Case in point: Ken Buck, a Republican running for U.S. Senate in Colorado, was recently caught saying, “will you tell those dumbasses at the Tea Party to stop asking questions about birth certificates while I’m on the camera?” Full story, including Mr. Buck’s response to the fallout, can be found here.
From there, it’s getting a little weird. The Colorado Tea Party Facebook page, which claims to be,

So, my question becomes: is this group run by birthers, sympathetic to birthers, or is this just a case of bad communication?
Starving Gazans: “Let’s Go To The Mall!”
If, as the press coming out of that part of the world would have you believe, Israel’s goal with the blockade of Gaza is to starve the people and destroy their economy, then Israel is doing a terrible job of it!

According to Jesse Jackson, that’s what Dan Gilbert thinks. Not that this story is worth anyone’s time, but it really annoys me to see everything labeled as racism.
Seriously, Mr. Tancredo?
You know, there was a point in time where a pretty large group of people wanted to “draft” Thomas Tancredo to run for governor of Colorado. Tancredo passed on that, choosing instead to tour the country making outrageous claims against the President.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I think something needs to be done about the illegal immigration issue, and President Obama’s increase in executive and overall federal government power needs to be reversed. However, I cannot stand behind Tancredo. This is the type of “lunatic fringe” speech that paints us all in a bad light. Tancredo is a big name, and that big name representing the “crazier” side of the conservative/libertarian contingent will get more press than anyone else. It makes us all look bad, and I don’t really care to be lumped in with that contingent.
