Israelis Killed Ahead Of Peace Talks

September 1, 2010 by Justin View Comments

The peace talks are a farce. They always are. It’s all part of a plan to make Israel look like the bad guy, all the while working to drive the Jewish people out of their land.

Mexican Marines Find 72 Bodies in Northern Mexico

August 25, 2010 by Justin View Comments

Reason? Drug demand in the U.S. I’m about as straight edged as a person can be, so legalization of any currently illegal drugs wouldn’t impact me, but I think legalization is a good idea just to end the slaughter going on south of the U.S. border.

Cold War. . . Two?

August 4, 2009 by Justin View Comments

So, a recent New York Times article reports that Russian nuclear submarines have been patrolling off the east coast of the United States.

What does this mean?  Well, communist or not, Russia’s approach to the world remains the same; they seek the leadership spot that belongs to the U.S.  While it looks like they don’t have the military prowess once possessed by the U.S.S.R., they do have nuclear capability, and that alone means they should be taken seriously.

I’m not advocating a preemptive strike or anything, but it’ll be interesting to see where this goes.

Swine Flu H1N1 Virus: Will It Amount To Anything?

May 3, 2009 by Justin View Comments

So, it’s been about a week or so since the swine flu became big news, and 2 or 3 days since the media and World Health Organization changed the name of the illness to the H1N1 virus to keep pig farmers happy.  After all that time, you think we’d realize it just isn’t a big problem at the moment.

For starters, Mexico, described as the “epicenter” of this potential pandemic, is saying the swine flu is on the decline.  In addition, according to the same article, there are experts claiming this may be no worse that the plain ol’ seasonal flu (which kills 250,000 to 500,000 annually, so it isn’t exactly a tame illness).

On the other side of the coin, the WHO is claiming H1N1 could return “with a vengeance,” so we can’t let our guard down.

Well, at this point, I’d say we’re seriously overreacting, and the WHO is just trying to save face.  Cases in the U.S. have been mild enough that a regular over-the-counter flu medication and rest can remedy it.  Quite simply, this “pandemic” is so mild it’s laughable.

Just for fun: Courtesy of the Mental Floss Blog, here are a few propaganda PSAs from the 1976 swine flu scare designed to get people to take the vaccine that was available at the time.  Why is it no longer available?  Well, it killed 25 people and paralyzed several more; it was more dangerous than the actual flu!

Shimon Peres: "Israel stands on the front lines of the war on terror"

April 1, 2009 by Justin View Comments

A recent article at the Arutz Sheva website covers a speech by Israeli President (what does that guy do?) in the Czech Republic.  During this speech, he warned that Europe should stand with Israel in their common contingency operation war on terror.

I’m not much of a fan of Peres, but he’s right in this instance.  With the new regime in D.C., it seems Israel may be the only country left in the western world that truly gets Islamic terrorism.  The Czech Republic, Europe, and even the U.S. would be smart to listen.

Barack "Money Tree" Obama To Give Israel's Enemies $1 billion

February 24, 2009 by Justin View Comments

From Israel Today:

The government of US President Barack Obama is preparing to donate more than $900 million dollars to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, according to a senior US official cited by the Associated Press.

So, from a superficial level, this looks like a good idea; we’re helping people in one of the more broken-down parts of the world.  However, considering Hamas’ history of using humanitarian aid and whatnot to further their own agenda, I’m pretty sure President “let’s sit down and talk this out” Obama just donated a huge chunk of money to the war against one of America’s most valuable allies.

Study: Guantanimo Is Legal

February 22, 2009 by Justin View Comments

From the WaPo:

A Pentagon review of conditions at the Guantanamo Bay military prison has concluded that the treatment of detainees meets the requirements of the Geneva Conventions but that prisoners in the highest-security camps should be allowed more religious and social interaction, according to a government official who has read the 85-page document.

So, does this mean Gitmo stays open?  I wouldn’t put money on it.  The liberal view is always going to be that torture is morally wrong, and that these people should be in a normal prison, tying up our legal system, or just sent home (where they can regroup and attack us again).  I expect Obama to stay on that side of the fence, no matter what any study he commissions says.

Hamas TV Introduces Suicidal Teddy Bear

February 16, 2009 by Justin View Comments

First there was Farfur, a Mickey Mouse lookalike. He was beaten to death by an Israeli official for trying to claim land.

Then there was Nassoul the bee. He died when the Israeli blockade of Gaza prevented him from getting clean water and hospital care (or something like that; I’m doing this solely from memory).

Next was Assud the rabbit. He died at the beginning of January when Israel bombed the Al-Aqsa TV station during the recent conflict in Gaza.

Next up for martyrdom in Hamas’ continuing agenda of brainwashing children:

Children’s TV programming in Gaza. . . ain’t nothin’ like it!
